We actually booked but then cancelled when I realised it was the start of the school holidays.
The traffic near us will be a nightmare, and whilst we both love children dearly I'm not sure I could eat a whole one.
We may go somewhere Glos/Slimmbridge way if the met looks OK.

The school holidays vary across the counties, pretty certain that they don't start down here in Hampshire until the week after Southern Softies.

Isle of Wight schools break up this Friday. I'm expecting a busy boat and roads, with my 'please don't overheat' hat on. Although looking at the weather, overheating probably isn't going to be an issue.
However, that is what makes the Southern Softies so great! £32 for a weekend camping during school holiday time.. Normally places would charge £1,000,000 during school holidays.

But if people are travelling you have to factor in school holidays within their travel path.
See you Friday - sometime ...

Trust me, you don't go on the M5 near us during a school lunch break, never mind a Friday they break up.

Anyone coming from the east today, the M27 is closed both ways between junctions 8 & 9.at Swanwick. This is a major crash and fire so it will not be a quick re opening. An alternative route will be needed and the A27 is not the best so expect delays. Damage to the road surface could disrupt into tomorrow

Nice one Bob. Personal circumstances have meant we didn't have time to prepare the caravan for safe journey up.
We don't want to miss it so have booked a static caravan instead. We'll still mix with you lot though even if you are parked on wet muddy grass (!!!) and we might have to leave our nice warm caravan. Costing us a bomb though.
So we have a pitch available if anyone wants it.

Looking at the forecast I think you could be on a good thing there, Tim.
