What software are you using? it is possible to give it a slightly smoother look.

Hi jaylee
Using Photoshop Element 8 - Just got it from PC World. Basically its good but no instructions with it. Help files are on the web and crap to use. Apparently, there is a command called 'TWEEN' in it that makes very smooth transitions. Thats the command I can't find.
Are you familiar with the software?

Ultimately, what I am aiming for, is to produce the cooling fact sheet in this sort of format so that children can understand it. ie can SEE it working - 1 picture may equal 1000 words, but 1 moving picture = 1000000 words.(Does to me anyway)

Glad you like the idea. :)

attempt Mk.2
Stat in housing going between closed and open. Not there yet, but now I've sorted the software out it should be easier.
Before anyone chimes in, if the stat performs like this in practice, then you have a problem.
In reality, logic says it gets about halfway between upper and lower positions and 'hunts' around that zone.
Thats the logic, but a Bongo has a mind of its own, so the reality is the hunting takes place somewhere 'around' the center.

Looking good Steve =D> =D> , but it should work like that in practise shouldn't it? Opens fully & shuts the top recirc inlet port when it needs to put full flow around the rad, admittedly it should only be when running while stationary or slowly, with little or no airflow across the rad, this is when the fans should kick in AFTER the stat has opened fully shutting off the top recirc inlet. If fans kick in before that point you have a problem.

Thank you Kirsty - Still not where I want to be with it but I will be eventualy - trust me, it will happen.
The final circuit will be simple. When done, take it to your mother and ask her if she understands it. If she says NO, then I will have failed.
Rather wait for Hellens results before comitting to 'how it is working'. As you said before, our original thinking went out the window and a few myths have been proven wrong already. I reckon there may still be a few eye openers to come. We'll see.

Version with a few colours, flow directions and labels. Bit 'sticky' yet, but I'm after basic principles first.

Taken me all day to do this   Bloody software is far mor involved than I thought. Must be getting old.

Constructive criticsm please. How can I improve on this? What would make it simpler to understand?

Got things I want to add but need to get this bit right first.

Animated circuit next. (when this is done)
