Steve, as the position of the thermostat is governed by temperature why not make the red/blue coolant colour correspond to the thermostat position during the periods its actually moving ?

What you see is not the finished article. Took me all day to get the animation part this far

Only got the software two days ago, and yes, what you are saying is exactly where I want to be.

Ah yes its looking quite realistic now (especially as I have never seen inside one!)

As a matter of interest, the physical shape/proportions are exactly as shown. Everything was measured with a vernier calliper. So what you see IS as realistic as I can get it without going 3D (which has not totally ruled out

)
Next step is to relate the colours with temperatures (physical rolling numbers) more accurately. I am basing this on the heat tests we are currently doing so it should be VERY close to reality when I have finished. May add the engine on too

Is that sad or what?
Now I'm getting used to the new software (finding new tricks every day), the animated graphic of the complete cooling system is taking shape.
