Coolant Leak at water pump?

Post by chris119 » Fri Mar 16, 2007 8:05 pm

Just replaced leaky top hose, (thank you Bongobits!), only to find a new leak  , I can't track it down exactly but it appears to be coming from somewhere behind the pulleys/belts and is running down the front face of the engine.

My best guess is the water pump, and although my garage would be happy to look into it, I would probably have to provide the pump and gasket if I want it repaired there and then.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as i'd hate to buy the bits only to find it's something else, so if anyone out there has had similar problems i'd love to hear from you!!! :D !!

Wish I could help Chris, but you need a BF techie expert for this one. It would be nice to think the pump could be reconditioned / repaired but...

No doubt someone from BF will be along to reply soon

Good luck
