Are the 2WD bongos front wheel drive?

Post by twinrider » Mon Mar 19, 2007 8:44 am

Just wondering if the 2WD are front wheel drive or rear wheel drive. I noticed the igmaynard site mentions it's the latter, but the lack of a drive shaft tunnel has me a bit confused

Thanks.

2WD Bongos are rear wheel drive. No need for a drive-shaft tunnel as the floor is high.

Did 350 miles back from NW Scotland last spring with my 4WD bongo on front wheel drive only...good handling and no noticable loss of power.

Rear propshaft had to be removed due to disintergrating bearing.
