which coolant is best?

Post by brorabongo » Mon Mar 26, 2007 9:13 pm

Week off work coming soon, and will be giving the old girl a good service! Oil, filters and coolant etc, but which is the best coolant to use?
Thanks.

I don't think its critical brora (at least that's what I gathered from BF and my local motor factors). The product bottle ought to say sensible things like 'suitable for alloy engines, contains corrosion inhibitor' that sort of thing. Maybe Dandy or someone else who really knows their stuf can confirm that, as I'm only a beginner at these things. Have fun delving into the bowels of your Bongo (better that than the other way round  )

For what it is worth I have just had a new radiator and coolant.
The coolant was on offer at Halfords 3 for 2.
