When mine overheated the noise coming from the expansion bottle stopped me in my tracks, guage shot up and down very quickly as you say :cry:

UPDATE:

Handed responsibility over to the 'part-owner' parents! Showed dad all the info on the forum, let him sort it out.

Bongo went back to Garage today...
no bubbling on way despite driving fast and up several steep hills en route.

Garage man did his thing, couldn't find a problem, reacons it was an air lock.

Bongo driven home, via more steep hills, still no bubbling.

So they are going to spend the bank holiday stressing the engine around snowdonia, while I take my little car and tent :shock: to the lake district.

Will monitor for any bubbling...

FURTHER UPDATE

It was air in the pipes for the heater. Still have to stay in a tent tho :cry: !!!

Next project... my table, once Reimo decide to deliver the leg :roll:
