Illuminating hazard lights switch?

Yes i,m actually posting a thread!... Does the hazard light switch illuminate when activated on a bongo? Mine doesn't, its been bugging me for years as to whether it's supposed to light up or not,but as soon as i switch em back off,ive forgot about them....

well mine doesnt bigD, or either both our bulbs have gone

No its doesnt illuminate BigD
Anyway I thought Supreme Beings like You would have known this and more besides
made a special visit to the Bongo on the drive to find ou for Ya

It wouldn't need to light up, cos' the indicator lights flash.

I think the aim is to be able to quickly find it when in the dark amongst all the satnav, DVD and ICE equipment cluttering up the dash area

The only reason i ask franco is that the switches actually flash on my other cars, little things like dash bulbs not working get on my wick... like squeaks that cant be traced

Back on track!
The hazard switch on our '99 New Shape illuminates when the side/main lights are on.
When the switch is activated, the left and right turn indicator lights flash and there is a loud clicking noise -
presumably so that blind drivers can tell that the hazards are working.....

yes pip, i cant remember if backlight illumination occurs with the sidelight/headlights, and i have noticed that the green arrows flash when the hazards are employed... its just that i suspected the "flashing" aspect of the switch didn't work, as they flash on my other cars... so now it would appear that the switch doesn't flash on a bongo / freda... Cheers chaps!
