				Changing Odometer Setting

				Hi
I am very glad I found this site. I have just purchased my first bongo from A1 Auctions at Southampton docks and I am now getting it ready for its MOT.
I need some help though, rather than chip the existing speedo I bought one at a scrappy from a Mazda 626 which fits perfectly but I can't see how to change the Odometer setting to reflect the right mileage. Has anyone done this, any tips???
Many thanks! [/b]

Thanks got some advice from Clogger. The dials won't turn unless you prize them apart from each other slightly to disengage the gears. Small screwdriver did the job. Little worrying doing it but no damage done!
Tks......Justin

				nowt to it
can`t believe the old speedo chip was only a 3 wire affair,
switched live/earth/pulse but there was about 5 wires just taped up out the way ?? reconnected the wires put in mph speedo sorted
"wheres the bacon butties" yum yum
got back home this afternoon
fitted the electrics for the towbar and put in some reverse sensors as well
now that was time consuming and i fink the reversing beeper thinghy is making it play up a bit then again i ain`t reversed at something at speed yet
just the engine temp sensor to fit tomorrow
anyone know which wire to cut in the gubbins under the fusebox to stop just the reverse beeper or is it play hide and seek with the multimeter
oh what a web we weave
sometimes end up at carnforth/silverdale and kens ex army store in morecambe and i wonder if bay motorcycles has one of my old bikes still
