Have read threads and fact sheets on changing ATF and looked in handbook. How much ATF fluid does the gearbox take? Is 4 litres correct or an approximation?

yes 4L is correct

Alan just make sure you have spare, I did get my information from the members area of BF so maybe that needs updating?
