Silicone coolant hoses

Ive been thinking about changing the hoses for peace of mind, and have
tract down a company that may be able to manufacture silicone hoses.
The chap I spoke to said if there was enough interest it would be possible to make hose kits for the Bongo. The more people interested the cheaper the hoses would be. The only thing is he would need a set of old hoses to copy(wouldn't matter if split or damaged).

So I'm posting this to see if anyone maybe interested.
Regards Bantamman.

Phew - sounds great but a bit laborious. I wonder if those stripping engines out of breaking Bongos might be able to oblige. They'd still need to be identified / catalogued etc. even if it were possible.

What is so special about these silicone cooling system hoses? Are they more flexible so don't require individual shapes, less prone to breakage or have the ability to withstand higher temperatures. Something else I can't think of due to being a bit useless with engines?

Thats spot on M.G. they can run higher pressures, are more flexible, and can handle more heat.....
