If you are going away somewhere and don't mind meeting up with other Bongo owners or if you've been somewhere & want to tell us about it & stick up your photos, put the details here.

As posted on the Rest of the West section....

2 miles off the A36 between Trowbridge and Frome. 15 miles off of the A303. Central between Weston-super-mare/Salisbury and Gloucester/Weymouth. Longleat and Bath within easy visiting distance. Oh, and Bell Hill Garage if any problems
.
Called in today and the new shower/toilet facilities were stunning. Country Park (free entry when camping) has childrens playground, lake with fishing, walks and potential for use of evening room.
Should be @£10/12 per night for 2 adults and leccy hook (subject to bookings). Children £2.75 each extra.
Nearest pub
http://www.kickingdonkey.net/1.html is a 10 minutes walk down the road if needed
Provisional date as a starter is the weekend 7/8/9 March.
How am I doing so far? Comments, questions, criticisms please?

Ok,
Optimist I am so I have been provisionally offered 10 spaces at Brokerswood on the weekend of 7/8/9 March.
If 10 or more vans come then the prices will be £10 per night. Less will take the price to £12 per night. These prices include electric hookup. Without hookup it will be £8/£10.
Day visitors will be charged at the Woodland Park entrance rate which is £3.25 for adults and £2.50 for children and seniors. Closer to the time I will probably be able to negotiate a reduction on this. Otherwise with more than 2 adults and 1 child it would be cheaper to book a night for you.
I just need confirmation of attendance from anyone interested at this time.

Hi, Would anyone have any objections to us turning up in our Bongo-Friend Autosleeper rather than a Bongo? We have more or less run out of excuses not to sell the Bongo so it is about to go up for sale so by March we may be Bongoless
However Brokerswood is some journey for us so it would mean taking all the Friday off work which may not be possible. Before we start moving work commitments around I thought it best to check whether we would be welcome!
It also happens to be my birthday that weekend so I'd welcome some company in commiserating
Mrs. D

I have posted a list of interested Bongo maniacs
who may or may not come to the meet on 7/8/9 March.
Please look here
http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... c&start=30 to read this.
The interest so far has exceeded my expectations
and obviously I want to keep on top of everything so if anyone else is looking to come please PM me and post your intentions on the Rest of the West link above.
Many thanks,
Paul

I`ve just had another thought Because BoyfromBrasils mini meet,
is the week before the "
TOUGH NORTHENERS IN VESTS" meet,
does that mean us "
SOUTHERN SOFTIES" must be made of tougher stuff than our comrades from up country
I know, I`ll get me coat
cheers! party on dudes.
