THE PLAN
Finish work on friday, pack the bongo, set off early saturday, arrive-setup-drink and chill out
WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED
Monday . confirmed with boss saturday off (so far so good)
Tuesday . got up for work, couldnt reach my feet to put socks on (not so good)
Wednesday . couldnt walk, severe back pain.
Thursday . physiotherapy and lots of drugs, diagnosed slipped disc-pinching syatic nerve
Rest of the weekend . Hobbling around on what feels like someone elses left leg, taking more drugs than amy winehouse, looking at all the photos and wishing we were there.

Same here, things like that are a P.I.T.A. - amongst other places.

Early days yet - don't feel too bad, these shindigs pop up all the time. Plenty of opportunities to catch up.
You made me laugh if thats any consolation!
Check the meets section & get BUPA cover.

Backs - who needs 'em. We all do, thats the problem. Mine went twice last year and all I got from the missus was a scowl and a 'This only started happening since you got THAT Bongo'.
Pah!

Luckily I have private healthcare from work which has paid for physio. This has helped loads but oddly still feels like someone elses leg

Lucky indeed. My GP smiled at me and said she'd get me some physiotherapy. So I went but they gave me a bit of paper, briefed me on some exercises I could do for myself, and sent me away. Good old NHS. Another patient treated by the target date
