Got the speedo out. Anyone know how to remove the chip. I dont even know what it looks like.

the chip is wired to the back with 1 wire from the loom going through it

Thanks Rob. Do I just cut the wire and take it out?

the wire to the input i think has been cut and wired into the chip so you need to reconnect that wire and just unscrew the other wires replacing the screws in the unit

the chip should then be free
