Thanks very much Di and Jamie =D> Me and Mr Pot Hole will remember this for a long time to come  Great company, gorgeous setting, barbie by the lake, I don't think you could get any better than this. Really great to see everybody again, and nice to put names to a couple of new faces. Please say we can do this again sometime, it was perfect 8)

Safely home, girls dropped off, and many happy memories!

HUGE thanks to Di and Jamie, my first meet will take some beating.

See you all soon (I hope!)

back home at last,
must say well done to di and jamie for organising this one, harry for the marquee and thanks to those who nursed us to the pub, that hairy toffee pudding moment.
had a great relaxing weekend but i wish i could remember what happened saturday night. no reccollection whatsoever but the headache was a good one. then i had to face the problems of an overheating bongo.
looks like either the radiators goosed or the thermostat isnt opening.
lovely photos by all as expected.
thanks again.
ps amanda dont eat all that chocolate leave some for tomorrow.

Big big thank you to Di and Jamie, best ever meet. Harry great to see you and well done for the marquee, hope you have a good holiday in France. Thank you Di's mum for the cake and her friends who cooked for us, lovely meeting you and hope we see you all again soon. Thanks to all who walked for your lovely company. Nice to meet Karena's grandson on his first meet. It was a perfect meet, everyone mixing in adults and kids. The site was extraordinary in its setting. Can we do it again please.

I was thinking the same. For as much as our ageing bodies can stand it the walk was the fulfillment of a promise I've been making myself for years - to get out walking on some beautiful hills, and the Lakeland Fells are definitely that. The company was great and I'd return again tomorrow to walk again with the company we had on Saturday.

What about trying different parts of the Lake District. I've a hankering for the varaious bits of it (Langdale, Eskdale, Wasdale) if there were suitable sites.

Will post pics tomorrow - too knackered tonight! 8)

Nice pics Harry and Trish. The views from Gummers Howe are just lovely - we went up there not long ago. Well done for doing the walk - you deserved a detour to the tearooms! Did you go to Sizergh Castle on your way home? We went to the pub next to it for sunday lunch/tea (Strickland Arms) with waycar8 and dreamy. It just rounded off our weekend nicely apart from one hairy moment...............

Funny enough we almost went into that pub as there were no car park spaces inside Sizergh. Did not spot your bongos. Thanks again Di for brill weekend.
