Got it in one DBO. What we do at our Bash will not be on view to the world, and we will behave naturally and not try and dress up......daveblueozzie wrote:I must be a bit strange (PLEASE DONT REPLY TO THAT, IT WAS RHETORICAL ) but a few times there have been options of having the bongo's on show so to speak, like the local fete or some festival in Altrincham or where ever. but i don't want my bongo on show to OUTSIDERS, if you know what i mean. i don't mind if its bongoers that are nosing or even potential bongo nutters, BUT NOT THE PUBLIC .
As for an off the cuff comp at the big bash ,that's fine by me ,but i probably would not enter a formal contest.

Re: Best in show etc
2 years ago we had a "Best Dressed Bongo" competition, where we asked the kids to go around the site on Sunday morning and score Bongos on a scale of 1 to 5. We could ask them to do the same again this year, perhaps over the duration of their stay (Kung Foo Panda is on Sunday morning) with various categories (best pimped, shiniest, tattiest?) we then count the votes, and the winner being announced at the AGM on Sunday lunch time. Gold cup for the winners perhaps?

I should think that the children, would love that! All good fun.
Things always get better after they are worse
So it's good to make things worse as soon as possible!
