any morris dancers going to the bash?

Post by hogggman » Tue Apr 07, 2009 10:13 pm

hi,
this may seem like an odd one,but are there any morris men/morris dancers going to the bash?since i watched some when i was a small boy i`ve always been strangely drawn to them!
i have no sense of rhythm, and can`t actually dance to save me life, but morris dancing..........now,i fancy having a go at that!
perhaps a few of us could get together at the bash and do something?
mrs hogggman suggests a few names:
me
lionel(dolly1)
bob
nevets
andy(bulwell bongoleers)
ray(triple r)
jimmy
harry
and anyone else who would like to join in
(mrs hogggman is actually rolling around the floor laughing!)
i may regret this, but what does anyone think?

Why did the Good Lord invent Line Dancing?

So Morris Men have something to take the p**** out of.

Had a go once as a good friend of mine is with a Morris Side, always enjoy watching it.

what always worries me is the sticks that they try to hit each other with - can we use a wiper arm??? it's a little smaller and will do less damage to fingers / heads etc.
Be nice to everyone they might be nice back.

i,m sorry in advance - each to their own but i have a hate- hate relationship with morriss dancing.

- even so i wouldnt mind watching you lot - windscreen wipers - oily rags -jangly tent pegs instead of bells-
now then what about the pigs bladder -does anyone have a pig - or perhaps a latex infltable item that comes from france in the post. oh yes i can see a new tradition starting here.
how about river dance put a bongo tyre over your shoulders to keep your arms down by your sides - the kids could have space saver ones and if you fall over you just bounce back up.

ok i,m going now - theyre coming to take me away ha ha hee.
