ABS Dashboard Light

Post by Dolly1 » Sun Apr 19, 2009 5:10 pm

Advice needed please. [-o< [-o< [-o<
Sometimes my ABS light on the dashboard comes on whilst driving.
I stop, turn off the ignition, restart, light goes out, does'nt happen again for several days.
Brake fluid is fresh and to the recommended level, pumping the brake pedal does'nt do anything, just ignition off then back on again.
It's a V6 rear wheel drive,opinions welcome =D> =D> =D> =D>

There'll be a sensor going down to each brake corner - usually a simple electromagnet.

Disconnect the sensor wires at a multiplug and use an ohmeter to check for resistance/open circuit at each sensor. Its normally a break somewhere.
