Bash list
I've just had a thought about the list of people attending the Bash (the one that came with the Bash pack)
We all have a list of names and reg numbers, but I don't know real names - only forum names
....so could we put our real names on this thread, so at least we'll have half a chance of knowing whos who?
Not everyone puts their forum name on their windscreens

Re: Bash list
Could be a security issue there guys, this is an open forum, bear in mind the bongo thefts.

Re: Bash list
We've already got the list with names and registration numbers - how is adding our forum names going to cause a security issue for thefts?
I'm not suggesting that we put our regs and addresses on here

Re: Bash list
Because anybody can log into the forum, including car thieves, easier to find your address with your name. The bash list is only issued to attendees, who are all paid up members. It's your choice, just a heads up that's all.

Re: Bash list
Probably best to leave the thread & lock it if you want?

Re: Bash list
It's a lovely idea Lisa and I agree it would be nice to work out who's who at the bash, but I think Kirsty's hit the nail on the head for me. I was already a little concerned when I got a full list of names and reg numbers 'cos it'd be a handy thing to have if in the wrong hands.
We'll all have to agree to a burning of delegate lists fire dance on the last night, just to be on the safe side...Kirsty?

Sounds like a plan to me agent X

Re: Bash list
I think it's a lovely idea too. It's a pity the list we had sent to us couldn't contain both real names and forum names but I think that would have been very complicated to sort
It's such a pity we have to be so careful, but I think Kirsty is right. I am going to print off an A4 page with our forum name on and stick it in the van window whilst we are at meets (although we are not exactly difficult to work out )

Re: Bash list
Nothing wrong with putting forenames IMO, but surnames I'd say is not so sensible.
Get those forum names up in your windscreens is the best bet

Re: Bash list
I do exactly the same (stored in the AFT) except for the last bit. I have yet to remember to put it in the windscreen on arrival - Dohfrancophile1947 wrote:Yep I have my forum name, avatar and forename printed and laminated - always put it in the windscreenmissfixit70 wrote:Get those forum names up in your windscreens is the best bet

Re: Bash list
Right then Ian - that's my request for next years bash list! (As if you haven't got enough work to do! )Sar N Ade wrote:It's a pity the list we had sent to us couldn't contain both real names and forum names
Everyone I spoke to at the last bash I went to, either had never heard of the forum, or didn't use it
Maybe I'll have a better strike rate this year eh?
