Thanks to Ian & Marianne for organising Bash 2009. We could only get there for Saturday & Sunday so it was all a little rushed – next year (with the threat of a hog-roast on Friday) we will endeavour to get there earlier!

Can’t remember all the people we met but you know who you all are

I've just noticed that in the paella-cooking shots I seem to have one of those self-filling glasses of wine in my hand at all times, a bit of Keith Floyd cooking

That's not the full recipe, there are one or two secret ingredients as well, I can send you the recipe if you want

It's gas, runs on butane or propane. The burner has two rings, an inner and an outer to heat a big pan reasonably evenly. Uses loads of gas so I use a 13kg propane bottle. Tripod collapses flat and everything is quite compact for transport, except the gas bottle #-o

Great pics, great Paella. Big thanks from me, Will and Jack.

There's Life, and then there's Muzorewa Life.

PS - I checked with Will that he was OK eating squid etc. He said to me "No probs - I think it's a really good idea to try out different kinds of food". I nearly needed the smelling salts. Way to go dude =D>

Thanks Muz , I would love the recipe :D I don't like fish, but the family love it and my oldest daughter lives on shellfish etc, especially oysters. She entertains a lot outdoors and would love that recipe..... and the paella cooker too!
It would be a good one for me to cook also, as it just needs a few accompanyments on the side and walla! All fed :D
The recipe for gumbo I got from Helen went down very well and a nice change from risotto

Cheers Anna

Ok, I'll sort the details out tonight.

Even though the kit is specifically designed for paella, if you take it camping you can use it for all sorts of things, cracking intruders over the head with etc...

Here's a young Muz Jr in 2004 finalising breakfast when we were at Brands Hatch....
