Hi

Did we peak with Tackeroo earlier in the year?

Maybe another Midlands meet is needed.

Happy to suggest Tackeroo - but it's colder now and a bit minimum facility for this time of year.

Anyone else got an idea?

Hi Dobby,

I reckon we would get quite a few along to another mini meet, the Tackeroo was our first meet up with other Bongo owners and it was great as people are very keen to answer lots and lots of questions!!
The forthcoming winter weather may be a bit of a "Put off" but i am sure that something could be sorted out soon afterwards.

Might be worth seeing what others think ?

We are quite new to this part of the world so are not too sure about other locations. RAF Cosford might be a good one?

Any other ideas for somewhere in the Black Country?

Good idea, would be good for kids (Not mine as now a bit old), it's free i think?
I know that they have had a vw meet there before so probably would not object to a "Bongo" meet ?

We went there earlier in the year and they had car meets going on. Seems that they let the car clubs into the hanger area.

We took our kids 9 and 11 and they enjoyed the museum.

We are in the midst of doing the house up at the moment so I'm dreading suggesting a date.

Nice one, pity we missed Bakewell

I've just emailed RAF Cosford about holding a mini meet and await their response.

Who's tempted?

Spent 3, erm, 'interesting' years there. Would be good to go back for a visit, not just to the museum side, but the RAF side too. Doubt they'd let me back in though to be honest! Or if they did, I wouldn't be getting out in a hurry....

Cosford sounds good. Doing reccy at Barge and Barrel Tipton she seems keen
for custom and overnight stay will be a possibility.
Close to Black country Museum

i'd seriously consider either of those, cosford would probably be the more intresting, as the Barge and Barrel is only 3 mins drive away :D , saying that as i've not been to a meet yet, anywhere will do!

Darn

And there was I dropping big hints that some one else might want to organise it!

I shall check the calendar.

The Museum says that 1.11.09 and 13.12.09 are not available.

Anyone got any preferences before I offer up a date. It will be a Sunday and mid morning ish?
