Christmas Dinner 12th December - Free overnight camping

Post by Harry » Mon Oct 05, 2009 11:47 pm

Chris & Jo (Pixie and the Moon) have negotiated a very special deal for us at their local pub at Allithwiate, Cumbria but we do need to know how many peeps are likely to be interested before we confirm the meet is on. Here is the deal:

Saturday 12th December
The Pheasant Inn, Allithwaite, Cumbria.

Full 2 course christmas dinner with all the trimmings for just £11-95p per adult.
Seperate childrens' menue available.

Pub decorated + crackers etc. Possible visit by Father Christmas if numbers are good

Free overnight camping in the private pub car park. Access to loos overnight.

If you need to put up an awning it may be possible to use the Allithwaite Playing Field again for a donation. It is five minutes walk from the pub.

No hookups sorry but we may be able to arrange some electric (TBA)
Extra nights free camping available if pre-warned.

This is NOT an alternative to the Upwood Christmas party organised by Jetskier but something quieter and a little different. Nearby Grange over Sands has lots of small independent shops (including mine) for your christmas shopping and if you need a hangover cure Chris & Jo can provide from their pharmacy innearby Flookburgh. Lots of lovely country walks from the pub and the pub even has its very own geocache.

Expressions of interest needed within the next couple of weeks please.

No firm bookings being taken until November 1st.

cheers

are we talking lunch or evening meal - i will be working until 5-ish (goddamm dickensian fair) but if its evening could be over there for 7 ish. I would certainly recomend the food at this pub for anyone thinking about it - we went for sunday lunch after the allithwaite meet -proper country pub - they were very welcoming and lovely food from local suppliers.(which is always a bonus for me)

Hi Karen,

I think we are talking evening meal Chris and I are working till 5pm also. If not many folks are interested we can still do the event no problem. We have free parking and if only a few vans are there we can probably arrange a couple of hookups. It will be a laugh in any event and a lovely Meal :oD

There will be free hang over cures on us, the following morning!! and man do we know are stuff lol
