Tackeroo 2 - Cannock Chase - DAY MEET on Sunday April 18th .

Who's up for a mini meet at Tackeroo again?
See last year's thread
I've just emailed the park ranger who's off until monday week about suitable dates. I think April would be good as per last year as there are two 'local' events already booked for March. Maybe do the 18th?
Possibly do a Saturday night and the mini meet on the Sunday - it's a zero facilities forestry commission site so maybe porta potti's and toilets will be needed.
PS I know I didn't sort the Cosford one
EDIT - This is a DAY MEET on SUNDAY 18th April at the Tackeroo Campsite on Cannock Chase see CLICK HERE Arrive from 11.00am cost is £3 parking for the day (payable to the Ranger).
Local campsites are nearby and you can stay on tackeroo if you wish (ZERO facilities)

Great stuff Dobby, sounds like a plan to me, we would be up for that (Might have to convince Jayne as no loos!!!!!) But it don't bother me

i`ve just seen this on the tackeroo site
`IMPORTANT NOTICE - October 2009
Due to damaged disposal facilties Tackeroo Caravan Park is now closed until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience caused`
anyone know if/when it will be open?all being well we`ll be interested in april.not worried about facilities,we went to the hankin farm meet in may!!!!!

I'm waiting on an email from Andy the Ranger to see if we can use Tackeroo - he's off until the 18th - I'm sure he'll tell us.
If not we'll find another spot?

Had a reply from the Forestry Commision:
Hi Graham,
we have been working on the site to fix the problems forcing it closure , we should have the site up and running again for April please keep an eye on the web site for further details or contact me again within a month, we will know more then.

Will let you all know when I hear any more. Plenty of other sites to meet at up on the chase if this one is a problem.

If Tackeroo is a non starter who would be in favour of doing the RAF museum at Cosford instead? I was going to organise a meet there late last year but didn't get it sorted
I know it's the official outing from the Bash this year as well.

The museum is a Day event only. I don't think you can camp there.

Yes, I Ian announced that just after we were thinking about a pre-christmas meet up there.
I'm hoping Tackeroo will be ok
