February day meet anyone?

Post by Harry » Sat Jan 23, 2010 7:21 pm

I've been mulling over sorting out a Northwest day meet for February. One that ain't going to cost a fortune but5 have lots of intrest for adults and kids alike. I've also been looking for somewhere reasonably central.

I think I've come up with a solution:

Salmesbury Hall near Preston
Farmers Market on Sunday 28th February
Lots of things to see/do/buy for all the family
£1 entrance (including entrance to the Hall.

One problem...I'll be away skiing in Scotland.

Does anyone fancy taking on organising this?

You'll be away on the date of the meet or away beforehand so unable to update the thread?

If it just needs the thread sorting and you're available for the meeting itself, that's easy enough to take care of

I'll be in Scotland from about the 23rd Feb to 2nd March so I can't come to the meet.

The farmers markets are a regular (and very entertaining) monthly feature but unfortunately I'm usually tied up with other things on the last weekend of the month.

My sincere apologies to Muz.

I hadn't twigged that I was proposing a meet the day after his meet at the Black Sheep Brewery.

Lets forget this one for now and maybe rearrange for later in the year.

Mods please lock this thread or remove it.

Shouldn't be a problem, people can do both if they want, and people who are travelling from afar such as mikexgough may welcome the chance to do two events on one tank of fuel.

Black Sheep Brewery is an hour tour so can't see it conflicting with Samlesbury Hall for anyone wishing to attend both
