ok, got a question......

Theres 3 sensors for the engine on the bongo.....

1. temperature gauge sensor,
2. lower temperature sender,
3. Air sensor,

I know 1 is for temperature gauge reading, I know 2 is for the coolant But, does this control the rad fans? or the scavenger fans or both, and whats the air temperature sensor for?

They all feed into the ECU/PCM so until that has been disassembled by Rhinoman and documented by widdowson2008 for the cooling fact sheet I doubt that we will know for sure ...

The temperature gauge sensor is connected directly
to the temperature gauge and not to the ECU.

Not that one, theres a lower temperature sender that for the coolant either for the rad fans or the scavenger fans, just trying to figure out which

The cylinder block temperature sensor is connected directly to the
ECU and provides coolant temperature information to control various
temperature dependant functions including switching on the main
radiator fans at around 100 C.

I've modified my temp gauge to give a reading from 85 and up to 125. Recently sat in traffic the temp got too close to the H for my comfort and I heard no fans running. I'd like to change both the sensor that feeds the gauge and the sensor that runs the fans just in case. Can someone please point me in the direction of the correct parts? thanks in advance.... (ps 4WD 2.5d auto) :D

For the temperature sender for the temperature gauge,... Quinton Hazel KTT 84 also INTERMOTOR 52551, are the cheaper compatible parts which can be bought from your local motor factors.

The lower temperature sender, I dont know any compatible part numbers but the mzda part number is 18840C, so if you give that to your local motor factor he will be able to give you a compatible part number, just report back with your findings
