Bongo Fury

Just got a replacement fuel pump cause i replaced the seals in mine but still leaking.
I was gonna put this into a garage to relace the pump and THE SEAL AT THE FRONT OF THE PUMP WHERE IT MEETS THE ENGINE BLOCK.
But i was thinking of doing it myself . I read on here that its just a case of engine at TDC and line up the pump with the timing mark . Then i was gonna get it to a garage to fine tune the timing for the pump.
WHAT I WAS WONDERING WAS :will i get the seal from lawsons diesels cause i dont see them in the club shop? And will it run if i remove the pump and replace it the way i described? where is timing marks for TDC and are they easy to see /adjust?
ANYTHING I NEED TO KNOW?
Should i just forget DIY and put it into the garage?

If my memory is still working I think you need a dial gauge to set the pump up correctly. You will find the solution here.

Mine was changed and dialed in by Bell Hill, it is now spot on...... if you haven't got the equipment to "dial" it in then I would take it in to be fitted IMHO.... you could DIY and then ask a diesel specialist to finely set it up, but then they could insist on more work other than the "dial" in set up .... just a thought...
