I am sure that I have seen replacment windscreens in the Bongo shop but for the life of me can't find it now.
Basically rang the phone number for my insurance for windscreens and they have told me that the cannot get a windscreen as it is an imported vehicle and it is up to me to find a replacment, can anyone help please, has anyone any advice on this, the chip is getting bigger daily!!
Thanks

Autoglass can get them for you without any problems.

Bellhill Garage supply them to Autoglass / Auto Windscreens. You can buy one for under £200. Try calling Wellhouse as they are up your way & do all sorts of repairs to Bongos.

Many thanks for your responses and private messages, most reassuring.
I called again this morning (Auto Windscreens) as I noticed that the Vin No. on my Reg docs had the 3 missing - SGL #### should read SGL3 ##### (it seemed that it was at this point that the last call failed) went through everything again and told them about the Vin Number, I am now waiting for a call back, fingers crossed.

Forgot to check back in - Auto Windscreens got a replacement no problem and I only had to pay the £50 excess - all sorted.
Thanks to everyone that responded. I cant understand why the first time I called I was told that no replacment could be made. Maybe it was all to do with the Vin No. missing the 3!. Now I have a problem with the roof not going up!!! Going to Wellhouse to hopefully get it sorted, as you can tell I am not mechanically minded or capable, maybe a Bongo was the wrong choice for me

Hi there when you bought your bongo you bought a unique vehicle(not much about to compare with it), anyway we all have our little niggles from time to time but nothing that cant be sorted

lots of people on here who'll be more than happy to help you.Once you get over these couple of hurdles im sure your bongo will give you much pleasure and reliabillity

Stick with it you'll 'both' be fine
You DIDN'T make the wrong choice
Good luck

I'm really not mechanically minded in the least, but not thinking I've made the wrong choice, just keen to learn more about the beast and to go to bashes to find out how I can best maintain and look after it properly.
Here is a great site to learn things. I keep reading, posting when I'm not sure about things and everyone has been really friendly and provided a wealth of information. I look at it as a learning process, kind of like bringing up kids ... learn on the job
