Quite a tough one to answer as no two Bongos ever seem to be the same.

I generally stick in 5w30 in mine (reasonably low miles at 82,000) but as the miles creep up thicker oil may be a better bet.

If you're happy with 5W/30 (I use it too, just like MM) then that half price offer on Magnatec down at Tesco is one to grab if they have any still in stock (£12.49 I think for 4l and you'd need two of those to get the job done as 6.5-7l is required depending on whether you do or don't do an oil filter change). 8)

Well a chaps got his reputation to think of

But seriously, what I mean is its an altogether less of a thumping engine than the old diesel and probably would really enjoy that Magnatec and the low running resistance that probably comes with it. But only as long as its half price - hellish expensive otherwise. But at half price, I'd stock up if you have the spondoolicks.

Isnt it funny tho how the price has changed with oil,i.e gone up yet the containers are mostly now 4ltr instead of 5ltr.

Yes, I noticed all the large container of oil in Tesco (their own brand) were 4l and not 5l. Cheap trick [-X
