Is it fate?
iv'e spent the last couple of weeks looking for a GA5R speedo head in my local scrapy,he is one of the old type of chaps,he doesn't know what he has! I managed to find/strip 2 323's .and was there on my 5th visit when i noticed i had been walking around a 626 on all my previous visits  and sure enough it had the speedo i was looking for [-o< .price agreed and off it came, fitted it easily thanks to the threads of several good guys on here =D> .only then did i think about the oddmeter reading regarding mot continuity etc and noticed that my kilometers were 113661km and the new head miles were 070647 miles SPOOKY!!
I rang vosa to see if the new mileage had to be logged with them,fraud/resale etc and they stated that there is no need in law to record mileage with them etc.you would have thought they would be keen to stop fraud and stuff wouldnt you?
oh well at least i can get rid of the last owners sticky tape now! :D :D

I think that's more Trading Standards department, but there's a box on the V5 for recording mileage voluntarily if you ever sell. But the last time I looked, the box didn't let you record in kms.
But it's good to hear you've found your speedo.

i noticed the miliage on the mot that came with it,it stated the odmeter reading as miles, then it was ammended in PEN to km's
all a bit loose isnt it, the system i mean!! how can anyone buy a motor with confidence.
