ok so if carlsberg asked stupid questions, this would be it, but im curious to know if anyone has ever removed a manual air-con system and replaced with the digital climate control? or for that matter if its even possible. you may be wondering why......i just like digital flashy things  and thought it would be a nice addition to my bongo!! Today i will be finishing off my conversion and spending a day drilling holes for lights, so will so be thinking of other things to do to it.
thanks all

pete

It would be cheaper and easier to change your Bongo.

Hi Pete
Anything is possible, but I think you will find that the ECU is involved in the digital climate control system, not an area for the feint hearted to get involved with.

Along with an absolute shed load of wiring, relays, servos & a couple of sensors, lots have asked, none have proceeded  Get some pics up of your conversion though :D

I'm not even convinced CC works better than the manual system + more to go wrong.

scrap that idea, i was just curious, im kinda liking my retro controls now and i must admit the aircon is very good. the blower is not so great though. thanks for replies. will post pictures of conversion soon. im just finishing of the lights which i must admit was a nerve wrecking experiance....drilling holes in the roof was not fun!!!!

If the blower isn't so good, I reckon you may need to clear the evap matrix out, this gets blocked quite easily, my fan & the ones that I've fixed have blasted out. This may help - http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... 43&t=28727 or pop round.
