Met a new owner last night to give him a tour of his new car and any tips etc

while doing the coolant, noticed it was low on coolant and on further inspection found a split hose, large one under the drivers seat.
today its in for a new hose in a local bongo garage and thoughts of what might have happend if not found.

may have been there only 10 min for all we know as no other signs reported but I think a new low coolant alarm is going to be ordered soon,
Luckily the new owner was smart enough to get advice from an owner as they have not lifted the seats before and did not know how, but they do now.

Advice to all potential owners or new owners get an existing owner to walk you round a bongo pointing out where the oil, coolant, tools, etc are

hi
great advice as usuall ww,i liken owning a bongo to running a classic car, first of all you have to (fall in love) with your vehicle, then learn to understand its needs, only then can you give it the attention it needs/deserves.usually this involves a steep learning curve, and if your lucky not to much cash,it is usually easier and cheaper if someone can give you loads of pointers along the way.unfortunatly the modern way is to jump in and turn the key and not consider whats under the bonnet until it stops working, modern manufacturers are also to blame for this mindset as they dont want you to go pocking around under there, but i for one will keep fiddling around under there and keep our bongo's sweet :D
