Hi, can anyone tell me how I replace the aeriel on my SGL-3. I just can't get the black cap off which I presume conceales the screw?

Any ideas before I break something.

I think the only solution is to puncture the disc with a suitable pointy thing & then prise it off. This is the link referred to http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/member ... aerial.pdf

Today, I reversed into to the drive and 'SNAP' there goes aerial number two #-o #-o #-o

So I think im gonna drill it out, run a tap through it and ans stick a bee sting aerial into it, can't afford this £30 a pop aerial malarky

Finally got round to modifying my broken aerial. I had the base from the first one I snapped so decided to have a play with that one, ordered a 40cm whip aerial with a 6mm screw thread on it, ground the old base down to about 4mm below the shoulders of the base, drilled it out to 5mm and run through it with an M6x1.0 tap, screwed in the whip and

Ta Dah... Works a treat and I'm well chuffed, snap this one and its £4 for a new one :D
