So where shall we hold it next year?

Minimum requirements: 30 electric hook ups. Mid May. Shower block. Must allow dogs. Clubhouse on site or pub within walking distance. Somewhere we haven't been before.

Previous meets have been held at Peebles, Callender, Fort William, Perthshire, Dumfries & Galloway.

The Sheilings site at Craignure, Mull is a peach and has a pub/restaurant across the road.

A bit of a trek to get there but well worth it when you do.

What about Perthshire or the Highlands. Perthshire is central for most people and the Highlands are stunning. I would like to suggest Aviemore. There are a number of campsites surrounding it including a nice one next to Loch Morlich. Aviemore has masses and masses of things to do, hillwalking, cycling, wildlife park, anything outdoors and is close to the start of the Malt Whisky trail.

After Marianne was nearly bitten to death at Fort William two years ago Ian has a bit of a problem. :?
After this year's problems with midges, Marianne refuses to go anywhere near the west coast of Scotland ever again, between the months of April and November.

Middle or East of Scotland then. Still think Aviemore or Perthshire are good ideas. I would also like to throw Fife into the pot. Never really been there but I'm sure there are some decent spots. Or Royal Deeside? Need to stop thinking now, head hurts!

Shellbay Caravan, Elie, Fife, park is nice, we've been there a few times. Beautiful beach for barbecues, costal walks and of course very necessary pubs

Good idea...East Neuk of Fife has lots to offer, and no problems with the dreaded midge. My wife and kids spent a fantastic day in Elie on Sunday at the water sports centre....brilliant beach with gently sloping sand for getting to grips with wind surfers etc. Plus easy stiking distance to St Andrews, St monance, Anstruther etc... =D>

East Coast, cooler, dryer, and less chance of midges.
West Coast, warmer, wetter, more chance of midges, and better scenary.

I've never been to Fife so I think that may be a good idea. Aviemore or Royal Deeside (no midges) would also be good possibilities. 8)
