Best option for routing temperature sensor cable

Hello,
Just fitted my ESTC alarm but wanted to know if anyone has any bright ideas for routing the temperature cable to the back of the cylinder head. I've read the factsheet and taken on board the two options of routing through the engine bay on both the driver asnd passenger sides. Has anyone else got any better ideas? Is it possible to route over the top over the engine bay (between the gear lever and handbrake) then down into the engine bay?
Cheers
Ross

I guess you should get this information from the supplier....

The supplier directed me to the factsheet on here but the guy who wrote the factsheet ('Gripped') offers up two different options. I don't think there's necessarily a 'best way' so I'm fishing for other options before committing to one...

There's also this option using the grommet in the passenger footwell:

Just after some feedback really about who's done what and if it worked out OK.

Well, I did it. Routed the cable behind the dash to the centre console, then down underneath the passenger footwell carpet, through the grommet in the bottom of the footwell and then up and around the side of the passenger-side engine bay to the back of the block. Nice and neat!

I Have just fitted one of these. I went under the centre console, and then on to the engine bay via the passenger seat. I set my sensor to the back of the engine, as advised by Hayden, and it all works a treat. No cables anywhere and everything nice and tidy.

I suppose there must be hundreds of ways, just how much of a fiddle are you happy to do?

Easiest for me

Exactly....route it whatever way you think best...just keep it away from moveing parts and HOT bits.
