Hi All,

When the fuel pump pulley is on it's mark, which mark should the flywheel be on?

The factsheet doesn't say, and I am worried!

Many thanks,

Steve

The flywheel mark should be at 0°. There is also a mark on the front pulley should anyone need it - it cabn be viewed from the top.

Unfortunately the horse has bolted!

I now have an engine that ticks over beautifully, that doesn't like to start, rattles heavly when revved and smokes like a wh*re.

If anyone has any bright ideas about the most likey damage - break it to me gently!

:(

Hi
I'm bumping this one up, as I will need to get my cambelt done again...nearly 200,000!...i have heard one or two people having the same problems after a belt change, so I'm wary of letting the local spanner-wielders on anything requiring finesse...I'll await this one with interest
Cheers
Helen

Hi Steve,
Taking that your injector pump has not been removed and refitted, you only have to line up the marks on the pump and the marks on the cam pulley. (The injector pump is a direct drive from the crank shaft)
