Air con - not working in front

Post by idetika » Wed May 26, 2010 5:19 pm

When the aircon is switched on, it lights up as if it is working however nothing happens except in the rear, which is behaving perfectly.
Is this a job for a bongo specialist or could I trust a local garage with air con expertise?
Thanks
:D :D

Do you mean the fan isn't working? or that it isn't getting cold at the front?

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Thanks for the quick reply, it is the fan that appears not to work.
Is it likely to be a fuse if the rear is working (sorry to sound ingnorant, but I am not at all technical :? )?
:)

Worth checking the fuses under the bonnet, the fuse list is in the members area, I think it's separate fuses for front & rear heater fan, so you may be lucky & it's just a fuse, but chances are it's the usual, fan's got wet, bearing is getting tight or siezed & done the resistor packs, factsheets for the fan motor & resistor packs are in the members area too, usually fixable.
