hi bongo dudes, my charge light lit up on the way home tonight
ive just checked the voltage on my battery with engine running and idle and there is a slight drop when running from 12.3v to 12. v,,,
ive checked the wiring and connections to the alternator- all apperars fine.
are there any other checks i can do to the alternator before replacing it- continuity of the windings? if so how???
ive been quoted £330 pound for a new unit from my local motor factors!!!!
however i found this new unit on ebay with a one year warrenty and no exchange.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT
looks like a good deal to me what do you guys think of the above?
just want to be sure its deff alternator fault before i spend my hard earned cash.
any help much appreciated
