Usually a faulty micro switch ,which is very difficult to get to. it may just need moving slightly.
the switch is the one at the front under the the roof on the drivers side.try loosening it a bit to move it and re tighten, if not do as a lot of others do(and me) and put a bit of tape between the contacts , that stops the flashing light.

Spot on Dave. I tried the usual tricks but with no luck. Decided it was very tricky to replace (assuming I found find the replacement part, so have driven a Bongo with a flashing light for 3+ years (I taped a square of black PVC tape over the dash to blank it out but other less Irish owners - I am Irish BTW in case any compatriots are reading this - might just take teh bulb out of the dash

).

Slight chance the roof isn't quite down.
My experience was unknowingly getting the sidewall of the rooftent caught in the runners one winters day at a Bongo daymeet. Luckily there were a few handy lads about to help pull it down enough to get the light off but the damage became apparent in the spring when I next put the roof up.
Roof mattress had blocked that little round flappy hole, needed to release air when dropping it hence walls had billowed out.
Worth a look before buying bits.
