Brass ring

My horn has packed up and the airbag light is flashing away. Typically MOT is around the corner. An auto-spark who has experience of Bongo's has suggested there is a brass ring behind the steering wheel that will need replacing. Any idea's on where to source one?

unlikely to be a brass ring, its a compact unit that has a ribbon cable wound in it and bursts out like a clock spring if opened, changed 1 the other day. if you cant get replacememnt in time get the electrician to fit a push switch after the steering wheel for the horn, airbags arent part of the MOT anyway.

& they're probably past their safe "use by" date anyway.

Good point, the horn doesn't have to use the original switch, it just has to work.

Don't forget to show the tester where the new switch is fitted to avoid a fail. :)
