Hi Helen.
Yep i was fitting a turbo gauge, & the hose split... (Well, i found the hose was splitting where it goes onto the metal bit!)
Is there a knack to fitting these back on, do you have to heat em up or something..?

Can you not put it in a cup of hot water to soften it up a bit?
Not sure if that would be ok if the inside wasn't completly dry.

Hi Cosmic Bus, Since i was initially doing electrical stuff.. I did try a heat gun i use for shrink wrap.. The only other thing i could think of was heat the engine up a bit..?
But i don't wana be digging about in a hot bay!!

Any decent motor factor should be able to supply you with some thich walled vacuum hose or have a rummage around the scrappy.

Cheers fer all the help on here! Got me some (or rather chanced some.) 5mm vacuum hose that was thicker walled than the original, so got some slightly bigger clips too!
The hole seemed smaller than original but slid on neat when the engine was up to temp..
A dab of lithium grease on the nipple thing to the electronic turbo sensor to the gauge helped with the fitting from the T piece using the same hose... I didn't trust the clear stuff they sent with the gauge, but it did OK for a day to fill in till i got some proper!!
