This is probably the most useful site:

http://www.alloywheelsinternational.com ... UIDE1.html

although some forum searches here will help to fill in the gaps. Don't forget the PCD and centre bore both need to be correct.

No guarantees, but my researches would suggest that some models of the following will fit:

Mazda - 626, 929
Kia - Sedona, Carnival
Ford - Probe
Hyundai - Trajet, Sonata, Santa Fe, XG
Mitsubishi - Diamante, FTO, Galant, Grandis, Outlander, Pinin, Space Wagon

There are probably some I've missed. There's a really handy spreadsheet here which might help too:

http://felnegume.co.rs/user/steelwheel/ ... l_list.xls

Don't forget that many of the above vehicles will take tyres with a load rating too low for the Bongo, so they'll all need changing.

Good luck!

Hi
As has been said many times...make sure that the WHEELS are also correctly load rated, as most car wheels will not suit....cars weigh a great deal less than Bongos, which can exceed 2 tonnes loaded. A car's wheels do not need to take anything like that stress, so are not made to take it.
Should your Bongo wheels be examined at the scene of an accident (hopefully you never have one [-o< ), and they are found to be insufficiently rated, then an insurance company would be well within their rights to ignore a claim
Cheers
Helen

will be putting extra load tyres on what ever steel wheels I get, just trying to get hold of a set of 4 to sort the Bongo ready for full winter service including winter tyres as we were stranded last year on all weather tyres with no grip in the snow and ice, anyone hand experience with winter tyres any recommendations?

I never knew/realised wheels had a load rating.

How do you find that out and how do I know what my wheels are?

I was thinking of getting some normal steel ones but in case I dont it would be still good to know.

It's not the actual wheels that have a load rating, it's the tyres. From memory I think a bongo should be at least 96 on the rear and 92 on the front. (I'm sure that someone will be along to correct me if I'm wrong :D ).

Lots of people have the same all the way round (mine are 99 on all 4 tyres). It should be on the tyre sidewall what the rating is and usually follows the tyre size. There may be a letter after the load rating which is the speed rating.

I think that there is a fact sheet in the members area that gives all the info.

Wheels have a load rating too, which most people don't realize, you can't put a wheel from a poxy little car on a 2 tonne bongo & expect it to be safe [-X

I hope you have better luck than me - I haven't found a load rating on any of my alloys
Interestingly, if you look at the wheel fitment guide sites, wheels on small cars tend to have only 3 or 4 studs with a smaller PCD - 5 stud wheels seem to be fitted to larger or sportier vehicles 8)
