I think my starter motor is on its way out - just get a 'click' on turning the key - becoming more frequent.

Any tips on where to begin? Should I just get it changed or is there a cheaper way?

Any suggestions on where to pick up a bargain recon unit?

Any help would be VERY welcome!!!

:D

fact sheet in the members area

contacts on ebay here but does not include plunger

However all the above advice is if you have the standard 2kw starter . if you have the winter pack its an uprated starter and a different ball game all together

If you have 2 starter batteries and the switch with a pic of an engine by your right side as you sit in it then you have the winter pack

1 battery and you dont

and yes its that simple to do, the first link above gives full instructions.

do you have a local alternator/starter repair shop nearby.

i took my starter to our local place to get recond.. he took one look and said 'bongo i no wots up wi it!!'

5 mins later i had it back along with the brass contact which was broke in 2.. £15!!
