Anybody know how many litres in the cooling system, with a by-passed rear heater matrix? Kirsty?

If you're just bypassing it, virtually nothing, the matrix itself is only @160ml

so it depends on what pipework you've added/removed. By blanking the heater supply & return & removing mine completely along with the metal pipe across the back of the engine for the heater returns & 3 hoses, it was a total of just under 600ml -

It certainly shouldn't affect the system in any way if you're bypassing.
I knew someone'd want to know that one day

Thanks Kirsty. Mine's just by-passed across the ends of the existing rear hoses, as I plan to restore the dud matrix this coming winter. Meanwhile, there's a coolant change to do next week, so I wanted to make sure it should still take about 13 litres once all the air's out. The copper pipe used as a by-pass link must hold approx 100-200 ml, so that's fine then - no change.
