Hi Dan,
You could also use Crystal Disc cd repair fluid using a soft cloth, this will stop the UV yellowing coming back,as they are now protected by the Polymer in the cleaner.
Cheers Mal.

I shall give it a go, my lights are rubbish - much worse than my last Bongo. Another poster here reckons his lights improved dramatically when he fitted a new, higher ah battery. I think someone has stuck some plastic film on my lights at some time which isn't helping.
Hopefully the plastic cleaner will also sort out my wind deflectors (!) (ON THE FRONT DOORS before any of you comment!) as they have gone milky & are quite dangerous from a vision point of view.

Ah yes - wind deflectors - i should have covered that also. Having lived with them being opaque for a whole year and assuming they were beyond help, I tackled them after the head lights. With the plastic polish and some more mer they now look brand new. Quite a shock this morning when I realized I was looking through them to pull out of a junction rather than craning my neck forwards in order to peek under them!

Hi Dan...
I have some minor surface crazing on my deflectors, and was thinking of wet'n'drying them, followed by polish...would that polish bring the surface back, or will I have to compound them first?....I've used metal polish on a slow wheel on plastic before...great results...but that stuff you've got sounds good!
Cheers
Helen

Hi Helen. Xerapol actually comes with a small strip of wet and dry and you use it first to deal with scratches. Put "xerapol" into YouTube for a video demonstration. After I'd finished I couldn't see the result straight away as the product left the deflectors smeary. A quick going over with some cleaning polish (I used Mer) had them shiny and brand new looking. Whole job maybe 45 mins both sides...

Hi Dan
Good news there, then....I've actually re-vamped a damaged rear light, and have run out of polish....so...Looks like one more job to add to the list!
Cheers

Good advice as usual. Anyone found a way of getting some sort of shiny material on the side light reflectors; mine are sprayed with what appears to be dull aluminium paint. Dreadful.

The front side/running lights are the bad ones, very poor glimmer of light when on. No proper reflective coat on the reflectors.
