Well, we are on our way to Luxembourg in the Bongo, giving it it's first tatse of Europe. Set off from Salisbury just after dinner and we are now in Dunkerque. While we were waiting to board we saw a green bongo getting off the boat, the only one we have seen all day! Will be on the look out over here! Tomorrow we head down to Luxemourg for 2 weeks camping. Did 150 mile to the port with no effort at all, steadily plodding along at 60-65. (looking for those extra mpg , or should I say mile per veggie oil:D )
Hope to keep you all up to date with what happening, been told the camp site has wifi.
Pics will be put on at the end of the trip
Let's hope the sun is shining in Lux

Be careful using veg oil on the continent - I don't think the 2500litre exemption applies over there.

We crossed at dover to dunkerque, was a breeze. Arrived at Lux yesterday an set up camp. 420 miles from front door to here, on a tank full and the ol' girl hasn't even broke in to a sweat! Weather is great, cigars are lit, and the feet are well and truly up

As I said it's safest over there, as I don't think there is any exemption at all to use veg oil over the channel.
You don't want your Bongo impounded whilst they argue about it.

So far, so good. Racked up another 220 or so miles traveling around, and all is good. The other night, another bongonaut arrived at the camp! What are the chances of that!? Just a stopover visit, as they were on their way to the Black forest and then on to the alps. Got the fury sticker, but alas he is parting with his dear bongo after 3 good years and 70,000 miles of motoring, going to a bigger camper. Still, the only other one we have seen and it was on our camp, and I though we were covering some miles.
Had just one masssive down pour, but the sun is out again

, and since the wine is nearly as cheap as diesel, that seems to be going down rather too well

Well, we arrived back yesterday, and already the post holiday blues have set in. We had a fab time there and would recommend the site to all. We saw another bongo there as we left, but not sure who owned it.
All in all, we covered 2900 or so kms, and it never missed a beat. I was amazed. She is not the best example, a few little dings and scratches here and there, but mechanically, where it counts, as sweet as a nut. We have had two solid weeks with her now, and love driving her even more.
I have a very nice 3 yr old Saab 9-5 as well, and as much as I love it to bits, I always have a smile on my face when driving the Bongo. Do other people feel like this about their second/main car?
Pics to follow, just as soon as I get them off my camera
Back to normality
