AFT bed base, removeable ?

Hello

As we never sleep upstairs, we were wondering if the downstairs roof/upstairs bed base is removeable ?

It seems to be just floating, although has a roof light fitted, which I would need to disconnect.

My concern is whether it will drop through the gap.

Just thought it would make it easier to stand up in the old girl with it out.

Cheers.

Hi, may be a silly question, but you do know that the bed base can be pushed upwards at the front to give more standing room? It ends up parallel to the AFT roof in the raised position.

If you have done this and you still need more height, the base can be unbolted and removed, and will come out the 'gap' by angling it.

I did push it up an inch to see if it was loose, didnt realise it went up further.

Is there some kind of catch for it, or do you just prop it up.

Cheers

I really should get one of them there owners manuals.

I am finding stuff out everyday

Only had the bongo a few days, until two days ago, i thought the wobbly bits at the rear of the front seats were just foot rests, till i saw a photo of them as rear facing seats

It should be hinged securely and when the roofs up you can push it up for head room.
The inner roof is held by to telescopic arms that hold it up, no need to remove it unless you want too.

Springer, I reckon that would bring a few smiles of joy just to see the amazement on your face as you find these things every day :D

The flipover footrest/seat is one of those simple ideas that just work.

I thought mine was broken as it wouldn't lock into place :D :D it was ages before I saw a pic that showed how it was meant to work!

Absolute class

Got home last night, and raised the roof  so to speak

Told the wife, "you need to go sit in the bongo and see the difference" took her a while but she eventually spotted it.

I wonder what I will discover next =P~ =P~

You've got twice the bongo that you had a few days ago then  You aren't the first & you certainly won't be the last #-o  Even just you finding that out has probably had a few lurkers going out & going "oh yeah, mine does that too!!"
