Hi all.. Does anyone have part numbers fo the rear brake pads for the diesel bongo..1995 model..
looking to get a set here in Australia and looking to get the set BEFORE taking off the wheels, hence part comparison with ozy vehicles..

Thanks Mike..excuse my ignorance.. on the link shown ,is the a part number of ADB 3824 ..Is this a general part number for the REAR BRAKE PADS on the bongo and as the link shows ANY OF THOSE CARS in the link will match up to the bongo rear PADS??

I need to repalce my rear brake pads also(in Australia) still trying to find suitable matched replacements as the bongos are very few here..

My brakes seem to be binding.. i have previously owned a bongo and when i took the foot off the brake on level ground the van would move forward(NO binding) my bongo here in oz does not do that..And you can hear them binding when reversing on a COLD morning..

I have 10 clicks on the handbrake which seems a bit much.. When a machanic friend looked at the rear discs he said the pads need doing and he also moved the handbrake notch on the drum tighter..This DID NOT seem to change the clicks on the handbrake lever..

Please quote me if im wrong here but im thinking that the actual caliper sliding pins may have seized or are slightly rusted,poor operation.. Any ideas on this?
I will be changing the rear pads soon myself if i find what i can get from the shop to match up with//lol,
if its an easy job to take off the handbrake drum to clean and inspect i will. How easy is the drum to take off????
..Ive done some cars before and find it a pain to do, especially when all the shoes and springs fall into your hands when you pull the drum off ..

LPR (Italian manufacturer) code 05P038 if that's any use to you down there? I've got a set sitting here, from the Bongo Shop in this website.

(Fronts are 05P570).

According to the Bongo Shop, they fit all Bongos.

Google search says LPR pads are sold in Oz, for SAAB, Renault and Honda at least, so if you can't find a brake shop direct supplier, try one of their dealers for a contact.

Handbrake has nothing to do with discs, they are cable operated shoes inside the drums on the rears. The bongo has shoes & drum as well as pads & disc on the rear brakes.

Those links didn't work when I tried them.

The packaging on the LPR pad sets I've got (see above), says that they are for:

- "Mazda MPV 3.0LV6 and V 4WD" (front set)

- "Mazda 929 2.0i LX Coupe, 2.2i GLX, 3.0i V6 24V GLX" (rear set)

They also carry the following codes in brackets:

- "(Adatt. WVA 23515)", front set.

- ("Adatt. WVA 21320/12.9)", rear set.

Im aware that the handbrake drums are cable operated and not connected to the discs..
This is why im of the feeling that when my machanic moved the handbrake rachet tighter there was no difference to brake freeing up or binding more,(just still binding) hence this is why i think there may be sticky sliding pins in the brake calipers..
Im not saying this is a correct diagnosis, any ideas to through around will be good..
