Took a trip to Aldeburgh Suffolk today and got stuck in a traffic jam.My I-Alert was running at around 81-85c.I had to stop to re-fuel.I filled her up and was going to pull away when the alert started to beep and was showing 95c.Is this normal, because once I had checked to see if I had a leak ,I got on the road it went down to 81-85c again. It's a good piece of kit by the way.

where is it bolted to,the head or somewhere else.

Sounds like heatsoak to me , where the heat build up from the run plus the engine combine to raise the temperature for a short while......happens normally after a run....but.....if you had not done the short stop/restart you would never had known.....often happens in the same scenario to me.....although my Mason modded gauge reads 60% /65% dependent on the ambient and the scavenger fan runs for about 20 secends....

Perfectly normal....as has been said....heatsoak....reset it to 99C
