FAQ here that may help - http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... =43&t=9562 with a link to the factsheet that may make it clearer. What bit are you struggling with?

I've been experimenting with reversing the passenger's seat too. My current arrangement has a pair of plates which lock together, either way round, fitted between the runners and the seat. It's a really fiddle job to get everything lined up. Not an ideal solution, yet. When I'm back from this round Europe trip, I'll be redesigning again. One problem is that the seat doesn't really fit in back to front, due to the shape of the engine cover and the door trim. I may end up re-upholstering the back of the seat and improving the flip up seat base.

#-o Not paying proper attention, I did wonder how you'd accomadate your new floor mounted table  Why not just make some more comfortable pads for the flip seats? I thought about this issue a while back & couldn't justify spending any time on it. How much space is actually gained?
I did come up with a possible silly idea that may be possible to make it work in a different way however  , basically have a mechanism whereby the seat slides forward & flips back by 90 degrees so the back of the seat becomes the seat & the seat becomes the back, it wouldn't take much to make a cople of mounting holes so the head reast could be removed & replaced in the top of the "new" seat back.

Don't know if I should reply now
Being non-standard seats, when I wanted to fit them, scanner (another forum member) had some adaptor plates made up, so that the seat mounting holes lined up. So it's just a matter of undoing the 4 main bolts that hold the seat in and then removing the 4 Allen Screws from the adaptor plates and fitting them backwards - then just replace the 4 main bolts to hold the seat in - simples

What I think you are after is the modification which former member bongo Patrol from Northern Ireland made to his front passenger seat. It took quite us all a while to squeeze the information on how he did it out of him.

John (you sod),

Are those seats from something in particular, or are they eBay specials/kit car seats?.

Cheers

Ebay specials - £99 the pair 8) Don't remember them being listed for any particular car. They came from here http://www.passionauto.co.uk/ but they don't seem to do seats anymore :(

i saw in a scrappy near me a set of seats(full leather racaro) which look very similar, they were fitted in a toyota lucida or estima, this motor has the same flat floor runner system as the bongo, may be worth checking these out.
