Hi Guys, Just had my bongo Mot and full service done, and as usual....all is well. I am so lucky with this van you know ...love it ..love it ! Anyway, mechanic metioned some figures re the hand brake, and whilst it is well within MOT thingummys etc , says I should get some'hand brake shoes' in for when I may need them in a few months/next service. Thing is...............there is no listing under 'brakes' here, for such an item !!

Any advice/suggestions welcomed please !

If Ian hasn't got them, they're readily available elsewhere. I did a quick Google search for 'Mazda Bongo handbrake shoes' and found them from about £58 upwards. I don't know which model Bongo you have, but make sure you order ones to fit your Bongo.

has he looked at them to see if worn,as they dont wear that much, unless into handbrake turns

has he fully adjusted them up as that makes a lot of difference to performance

THANKS LADS....for your replies ! Never thought to google it !? My garage is a superb one and I trust them implicitly...been going there for years etc. So, thats why I posted my query, He has adjusted the handbrake etc, but need the shoes for the future. Didn't think they'd be so expensive tho' !!! Anyway, will probably order them via bongo bits as they've now been around a while; I don't want anything other than genuine parts for such a crucial item !
Once again thanks for your replies.....much appreciated lads. =D> =D> =D>
